No More Free Passes.

Free rides will go out of fashion on all railroads *of the United States on and after January 1, 1902. A complete abolition of the time-honored custom of giving transportation for nothing has been decided upon by a subcommittee representing all of the railroads in the Trunk ' Line association, the Central Traffic association and the Western Passenger association. The committee met in New York. As these three associations include every railroad of any consequenoe in the country, tbe “dead head” tourist will see hard times ahead of him. No exceptions are to be made in the new policy to be adopted.
