Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 34, Number 11, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 8 October 1901 — A Big Theater Party. [ARTICLE]
A Big Theater Party.
Theater parties are now quite a fashion in Northern Indiana, and especially to see Ben Hur. Toe biggest of these will go to Chicago from Crawfordsville, next Tuesday, Oct. loth, and will take pretty nearly a whole floor at the Illinois Theatre. It is said there will be 300 in the party, and Gen. Lew Wallace, author of Ben Hur will be at the head. The special oars holding the party will be on a special to the train which will pass Rensselaer about noon that day. W. B. Austin, whose acquaintanceship in Crawfordsville is very extensive and includes Gen. Wallace himself, will join the party here or in Chicago.
