Delos Coen Badly Bumped.
Delos Coen, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Coen, of our city, and who is so nobly keeping up the reputation of his native home by able work both with brain and brawn, got a pretty hard bump in a game of foot ball laet Wednesday, although his parents did not hear of it until Thursday night. Today’s Inter Ocean gives the young man’s picture, with the following appreciative sketch: “Delos Coen, the 18-year-old end of the Northwestern Military acedemy, who was thought to be seriously injured in the game with Lake View High school on Wednesday afternoon, is expected to be baok in his position this afternoon. * After a hard mix-up in the first half, Coen was seen to be badly dazed, and at the end of the half, despite his prostests, he was taken out of the game. Although Coen did not entirely reoover his senses until yesterday morning, he suffered no external injury and attended classes as usual j esterday morning. Coen’s home is in Rensselaer, Ind., and this is his fourth year in the academy. He is one of the brightest student in the military school and plays a strong game at end. He played quarter-back on the Rensselaer High school team before coming to the aoademy.
