Gillam Gravel Road.

Superintendent Baker and Contractor Hack, of the Gillam gravel road, were both in town Saturday. They made an amicable compromise of their difference over the grade, and the same is now finished in good shape and a good deal of gravel has been pat on. The gravel being used is said to be of an unusually excellent quality, and is obtained from a pit close along the road. It was lately feared that the pit be exhausted long before the road was finished but farther developements show that the gravel deposit is much larger than was supposed and there is probably enough to complete the road.
