Alfred Ponton was granted a saloon license at Kniman. Alfred Zook published notioe of intention to apply for a saloon license at Gifford, in Barkley tp. He was defeated by a Nicholson law remonstrance signed by 196 voters of the township. This is the 4th applicant for a lioense in Gifford to meet this same fate.
