Took An Over-Dose of Cordial.

DeMotte-has been having quite an excitement over the experience of their town barber, Harry McCalpin. It seems that last Friday he had a “cordial” prepared for him by a physioian. Something evidently pretty strong, to cope with other strong fluid substanoes he had been absorbing into his system in liberal quantities. He had been taking this in “overdoses” and no doubt took the, seemingly, very logioal view, that tbgjim rective cordial ought to be talien in overdoses, also. At any rate that is the way he took it The oordial however, contained opiates and it came very near proving fatal. Both the DeMolte doctors worked over him, and a Hebron dootor was sent for, also. Before the latter arrived, however, the other two succeeded in getting tbe patient out of danger.
