All the Suspects Were Released.
Police Capt Clark, of Lafayette came up on the afternoon train Friday and investigated the six men arrested here on suspicion by Marshal Simpson. Capt. Clark concluded that none of the six had anything to do with the house robberies at Lafayette and they were all released. They left for the west last night. Four of the suspects claimed to be harness makers who had been out of work at Logansport, by the closing down of a harness factory. The robberies at Lafayette were nothing like as numerous nor extensive as first rumors reported. Only three houses were ransacked, and from S3OO to SSOO worth of property taiketa. Mostly jewelry, watches etc. The Lafayette police are bound to orpture the robbers, if possible and Capt Clark stated here that some 50 bums had been arrested at different places, and were being investigated as the possible robbeys. .. t
