Tom McCoy For State Treasurer.
W. H. Blodgett in the Indianapolis News says: “I 'heard on a Iran yesterday that Tbos. McCoy, republican chairman from the Tenth district, is thinking seriously of being a candidate for treasurer of state. The Tenth edistrict is pretty well fixed for candidates for state offices and if Mr. McCoy gels into the the race it will make lively times as he is not only popular, but is a good politician, and will be a strong candidate. “Nathan L. Agnew, of Valparaiso, who has just finished his last term as joint senator from Lake and Porter counties, will be a candidate for re-election. Some of the politicians in Lake county think it is time that the senator come from that county, and it is possible that Lake county will furnish a candidate in opposition to Mr. Agnew. Mr. Agnew was one of the leaders of the last senate, and made a very popular member.”
