Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 24, Number 7, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 24 September 1901 — Railroad Elections In Pulaski. [ARTICLE]

Railroad Elections In Pulaski.

Three townships in Pulaski county voted on the proposition to aid the proposed east and west railroad, the Tippecanoe Route, Tuesday. They were Salem, including Francesville, Beaver and Indian Creek. The last two voted for the bonus, but Salem voted against it, by 17 majesty. This is the first defeat the road has sustained, in any of the elections so fur held. It is said the friends of the road were indifferent, while the “knockers” got out every possible vote. '
