Little Children’s Memorial Day.
Thursday afternoon in Mrs. Kaub’s room, in the public schools, 53 little people engaged in a short and simple Memorial Service for our loved President. A prayer was offered by Rev. Work, and short talks given by Mrs. Foltz, Supt. Sanders and Rev. Work, all of which were in such language that could be grasped by the little minds. A part of “Nearer My God to Thee” was sung and then the children marched slowly round the room, each dropping a tribute of flowers upon the table in front of McKinley’s picture which was draped with black and flags. It is not likely that any one of those small men and women will ever forget that brief service, and surely the honoring of a good and great man in this way, will be an influence for good in their lives
