Another Rural Delivery Route

Has Been Approved by the inspector, and Will Soau be Established. Rensselaer Rural Delivery Route No. 2 will soon be established and in running order. It will leave Rensselaer on the north gravel road and begin to deliver mail at the Alter tile mill, where route No. turns east. It will keep straight north, across Burk’s bridge, on past Aix store and post office, and on to Elick Long’s corner, in Union Tp., juet 10 miles north of the corporation line of Rensselaer. Thence it gees west two miles to Geo. Cover’s corner Then south again miles to Rose Bud school house, Union Tp. Then east half a mile, then south again two miles, to Union school house, Marion Tp , where it corners with route No. 1. Then west on the road to Surrey 1 mile, then south 2 miles to the J. C. Porter farm, west | mile to the Bowling Green school house, then south again, two miles where it strikes the poor farm gravel road, at the Grant school house, and then east to town. The route is 25 mileo long, passes 128 houses, and runs over gravel roads about 14 or 15 miles It is all in Marion and Union townships, except two miles that are on the township line between Marion and Newton. The route will probably be running inside of 20 days. Elias Hammerton, present carrier on the Blackford and Aix star route, is slated for carrier.
