Notice is hereby given to the citizens of the Town of Gifford and of Barkley township, in Jasper county, Indiana, that the undersigned, a male inhabitant of the State of Indiana, over the age of twenty-one years, of good moral character, and a man who is not in the habit of becoming intoxicated, and has been a continuous resident of said town and township for over ninety days last past, and who is in respect to all legal qualifications and requirements, a fit and proper person to be intrusted with the sale of intoxicating liquors, and will be the actual owner and proprietor of said retail liquor business if license be granted him, will apply to the Board of Commissioners of said County of Jasper, State of Indiana, at their October term, 1901, at the Commissioners’ Court Room, in the Court House, in the City of Rensselaer, in Said county, for a license to sell and barter spirituous, vinous, malt and all other intoxicating liquors, in a less quantity than a quart a(< a time, and also in less quantities than five gallons at a time, with a privilege of allowing the same to be drank on the premises where so'.d and bartered.
