How people are pleased with the rain.* Mr. Tom Zimmerman and Clyde Masters went to Ohicago Sunday. Mr. Clarence Gre9n and wife Sundayed with Mrs. Green’s parents Mr. Burris, James Torbet, wife and (laughters Creola and Chloac were Newland visitors Sunday. Will Price and wife visited Mrs. Price’s parents Bunday. Owen Hurley has made his appearance on Old Nubbin Ridge again. The show at Blackford was slimly attended. John Renicker and wife visited at Charles Jenkins Sunday. Misses Fairy Renicker,Fern Nuss and Janie McCleary was the guests of Miss Flossie Torbet Sunday. Ell Nerrill and wife spent Sunday with his mother Mrs. Baker, People are getting ready for the Old Settlers at Rensselaer Friday and Saturday. The young folks gathered at the home of Miss May Hays Saturday night and gave her quite a surprise, it being her 18th birthday. The evening was spent in playing games all returned home at a late hour reporting a good time by all.
