Mr t and Mrs. Reed McCoy went to Chicago, last Wednesday on business. John Brin ode entertained a num.her of .his friends at his home, on Water street last Saturday evening. All report a pleasant time. Mrs. J. R. Phillips returned from a week's visit with relatives at Delphi Tuesday. M rs. J. S. McDonald and daughters Mabel and Susie visited-relatives and friends near Monticello last week. Misses Mary Michaels and Pyrle Ritchy of Rensselaer visited Mabel Huston and the Misses Eib over Sunday. Miss Pyrle Parker is attending the teachers institute at Rensselaer this week. Everet Burns of Wolcott is visit, ing friends here, An eleven pound girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Huston last Saturday, Aug. 31st. Miss Lulu Rishling resumed her work at the Hotel Tuesday, after a weeks absence at Rensselaer. Rev. Keller who has been holding meetings at the Milroy Baptise church, returned to Monon Wednesday. Miss Jessie Southard went to Monticello Saturday to attend the Old Settlers’ meeting.
