Barn and Contents Burned.

The fire alarm sounded soon after 12 o’clock Tusday night The fire was in the barn at Warren Robinson’s residence, the east side of Melville street, just outside the corporation lipe on the east. The fire was first seen by parties hauling the Old Arkansaw show company’s outfit Xo the depot. The fire had a big start when, first 'discovered and although good time was made by the fire company, they did not get there in time to save any part of the barn dr its contents, except a small portion of the grain. Among the contents of the barn that were, lost were a double and a single buggy, 3 sets of harness, 400 bushels of oats, 100 bushels of corn, 6 or 8 tons of hay. various farming implements and two good work horses. The total loss on barn and contents is about $1,200 and there was no insurance. The fire seems to have started: on top of the hay-mow and Mr. Robinson thinks tramps might have been lodging there and started the fire in smoking.
