The Coming Conference.

The annual meeting of North West Indiana M. £. conference frill convene at Brazil Thursday, Sept. 12th. Bishop Fiizgerald, of St. Louis, will preside. This conference will have a special interest for Rensselaer people from the fact that a strong effort' will be made to have the next year’s conference held here. Rensselaer has never had the honor of entertaining this |arge gathering of ministers, and it is believed that the effort to bring the next one here will sureLy sucoeed. In fact those have already promised to support Rensselaer’s invitation, are numerous and influential enough to make the matter practically assured. The conference will bring together 200 or more ministers. It now consists of 172 full members, and enough probationers and supplies to raise the total to 208: The territory included in the conference is all of the Northwest quarter of Indiana. The southern boundary is far enough south to take in Greenoastle, Brazil and Terre Haute. Also some suburbs of Indianapolis. The eastern line is the Michigan Road, and Frankfort, Plymouth and South Bend are included. The Rensselaer ohuroh extended its formal invitation for the conference several months ago. Other churohes in town have also endorsed the invitation. vßev. C. D. Royse. the M. £. pastor here, has been working hard to get the conference here, and will ably present the claims and advantages of our city, for the purpoee, at the coming meeting, at Brazil.
