A Circus Man’s Foul Deed.
There is always something do* ing to keep up excitement at a circus, even on Sunday. Thus last Sunday, at Decatur, this state, Charles Boss, a performer with Wallace’s circus, threw a phial of carbolic acid in the face of tyis wife, Manie Forepaugh. Mrs. Boss is a daughter of Adam Forepaugh and is a bareback rider with the Wallace show, whioh spent Sunday there. The acid was thrown while the woman was eating. The fluid covered her face and run down on her neok and shoulders. Mrs. Ross, luckily, closed her eyes in time to save herself from being blinded, but she will be disfigured for life. Boss threw the acid on account of jealously. He was immediatoly arrested and declared he had been awaiting a favorable opportunity to attack his wife for several days.
