Teachers’ Institute.
The Jasper cbunty teach ere’ institute began it annual session Monday morning, at 10 o’clock in the court house. Its opening session was attended by about 140 teachexs of the county. County Superintendent Hamilton is being assisted in the instruction by State Superintendent, Hon. F. L. Jones, of Indianapolis; Dr. Norman Trippett, of the Kansas State University, and Prof. Louis Eichhorn, of Blqfftofi; Ind. Miss Lulu Tyler Gates of Chicago, dramatic reader, who was on the enter tain ment program at Fountain Park last week, was also here to deliver several read • ings at the teachers’reunion lad night. The reunion was for the teachers and a few invited guests only, and Superintendent Hamilton furnished ice cream and cake at Haus’ restaurant. The week will be a very busy one for teachers. The morning sessions will be from 8:45 to 11:45 and the afternoon sessions from 1:30 to 4:15. The lecture which was to.be have been delivered Monday night was entirely omitted, and no session will be held Tuesday night. New Blacksmith and Repair Shop.
