Thomas Drake and His Bad Break.

B. E. Crump and wife, of Winamac, have for several years been the recipients, at intervals, of fodish and insulting anonymous letters, apparently written by one person, in printed capital letters, and delivered in various ways. Circumstances, apd the tenor of the epistles, pointed to Thomas Drake, a bachelor, as the author, he having been a rejected suitor of Mrs. Crump, formerly Miss Daisy Hazen, The matter culminated in a fight between the two men. Crump then filed an affidavit, alleging Drake to be insane. An inquest was held, at which Drake admitted sending the letters, and, upon the testimony of twentythree witnesses, he was declared to be of unsound mind. . Ho cannot be found, however, since the decision was reached, and it is said he has left the county. Drake is a brother of Rev. T. F. Drake a former M. E. pastor at Rensselaer.
