NOTICE is hereby given that at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Rensselaer, Indiana, held on the 26th. day of August 1901, a resolution and ordinance was duly adopted, declaring that it is necessary to construct a sew-er along the line of the public ditch known as “Make-em-self’’ Ditch in said City as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of block twenty (20) in Weston’s Second Addition to the City of Rensselaer, Indiana, and extending down the bed of said ditch to a point where the same terminates in the Iroquois river. Said sewer to be constructed of glazed sewer pipe with joints cemented and to be of the following sizes: from the outlet to Main street Thirty (30) inches in diameter and from Main street to source to be Twenty-four (24) inches in diameter; the details of construction to be in accordance with the plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk. That in accordance with such resolution the Common Council will “receive sealed bids for the construction of said sewer, at the Council Chamber in said city at 7:30 o’clock P. M. on the 23rd day of September 1901. Contractors shall file with their bids the receipt of the City Treasurer for the sum of SSOO deposited as a guaranty that they will enter into a contract and file a bond In accordance with their bids.
