Uncle Josh a Good Company.

The Uncle Josh Spruceby company that opened the opera house here Saturday night, gave the best satisfaction. The plot of the play is thoroughly entertaining, the parts all strong, the climaxes emotion exciting and the comedy of a clean, really funny kind. t3?o the leading lady, thesoubrette and the heavy villian belong tbe greatest credit. The “Uncle Josh” was probably the weakest in the company, but tbe lines are so well written that he even showed up tolerably well at important times. The musical, dancing and juggling specialties are good, and the orchestra that accompanies the acting force discourses splendid music. The company is billed this week for Lafayette, Kokomo and Elwood. Opera House Manager Ellis deserves credit for securing the company and h'eJtexpects to be able to announce several good bills for the near future.
