Conductor Holloway Killed at Shelby.
A sad accident.occurred at Shelby Jlast Wednesday morning, soon after midnight. Conductor Holloway, of the Ist section of freight train’No. 71 was found dead beside the tracks, by the crew of the seoond section- It is supposed that he was killed by falling from the top of a oar or while attempting to board his train was in motion. He was a large and very heavy man. The body was found close to the platform, and about 200 feet north of the depot. He was not mangled any, nor were any ‘bones broken, the only wounds being a out across the temple. His neok was not broken as reported. The train crew did not miss him until nearly to Fair Oaks. He was married and lived at Lafayette. His wife went to Shelby on the milk train, that morning, and took, the body back to Lafayette for burial on the 10:55 a. m. train.
