Finest Corn on Earth.

The greatest mountain of oats raised by McCoy and Porter, on the Jordaa tp. ranch, has already been mentioned. In round numbers they have 27,000 bushels, raised on 700 aorgs of land. This is nearly 39 bushels to the acre and a big yeild for this year. At present prices thisjcrop is worth $9,000. But this oats orop is only a good starter compared with what their corn crop will be. They have 800 acres of o.rn and Mr. Porter says it is sure to average 50 bushels to the acre. That means 40,000 bushels of corn, and worth, in all probability, not less than 50 cents a bushel, or $20,000 for the crop; % . a possibly considerably more than that. There is one little patch of this corn crop, namely 160 acres, which Mr. Porter is confident will go 70 bushels' to the acre. Bill Foresman, the grain man of Foresman, was out Walter’s way. some days ago, and he selected a half dozen ears from this field and took them to show to the Board of Trade, in Chicago. They all said they were the best samples of this years corn that had been shown there, from east, west, north or south.
