Looked for Trouble and Found It.

A whisky row of large dimensions took place in the irrigation district, last Saturday night. It started in Rosey’s saloon, and held an adjourned session out in the street. Two of the ‘‘Burk boys” from the Clifford district and Budd Hammond, from Jordan,-all veterans of many whisky wars, were the principal combatants. Budd appears to have stood the whole Burk outfit off for some time, but their numbers finally prevailed and he was thoroughly thrashed. The Burks are the same fellows who engaged in a regular riot here some years ago. Wai rants for their arrest are now in Constable Vick’s hands. It seems to be the general opinion that Hammond was looking for trouble and got no more than was good for him.
