Must Wait For the Next Regiment.
Dr. I. M. Washburn has received word from Adjutant General Ward that the company of militia now being organized here cannot be mustered into the service of the state until sufficient companies are assured to make an eutire new regiment. The ‘Sid regiment is now complete and it is possible that the Rensselaer company will be the first or A company of the new regiment. The Adjutant General authorized the election of officers and a meeting for that purpose has been called for Monday night, Aug. 19th. Drilling will then begin and it is expected to have the company in good drilling trim by the time the muster in takes place.
