Notice to Contractors. IMPROMMMENT OF FOREST AND MERRIT STREETS. NOTICE is hereby given, that at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Rensselaer, Indiana, to be held at the Council Chamber at 8 o’clock p. m. on the 26th Day of August 1901, sealed bids will be received for the improvement of that part of Forest Street which lies between the north line of Oak Street and six feet north of the center line of Merritt Street and that part of Merritt Street which lies between a point six feet east of the center line of Forest Street and the west line of the street or road known as the “Gravel Road” by grading the same and the construction thereon of a macadam roadway, twelve feet in width. All of said work shall be done in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Common Council on the 22nd day of July, 1901, and the specifications therefor on file in my office. Bidders shall file with their bids, the receipt of the City Treasurer for the sum of SSOO, deposited as a guarantee that such bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract in accordance with his bid.
