Aged Woman’s Leg Broken.

Mrs. Wm. McDonald, of Pleasant Ridge, a lady 75 years old, met with a serious accident, Monday morning. She had started to drive to her son, James McDonald’s, at MuCoysburg, and got out of the buggy to arrange the fly-nets. As she started to get in again the horse made a sudden start ahead and her leg was caught in the wheel, and broken just above the knee. It is a bad injury, being a compound fracture. That is, the end of the broken bone out through and projected; and it is doubtful if she recovers from the shock. ~ She was taken back to her home and Dre.. English and Berkley reduced the fracture. The horse did not-run away.
