Notice to Contractors. - • IMPROVEMENT OF RIVER STREET. NOTICE is hereby given, that at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Rensselaer. Indiana, to be held at the Council Chamber at 8 o'clock p. m. on the 26th day of August, 1901, sealed bids will be received for the improvement of River street from Washington street to a point 125 feet south of Kannal avenue, by grading same and the construction thereon of a macadam roadway thirty (80) feet in width with concrete curbs. v All of said work to be done in accordance with a resolution adopted by said Council on the 22nd day of July, 1901, and the plans and specifications on file in my office. Bidders shall file with their bids, the receipt of the City Treasurer for the sum of $500.00, deposited as a guaranty that such bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract in accordance with his bid. NOTICE is hereby given, that at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Refisselaer, Indiana, to be held at the Council Chamber at 8 o'clock p. m. on the 26th Day of August 1901, sealed bids will be received for the improvement of that part of Forest Street which lies between the north line of Oak Street and six feet north of the center line of Merritt Street and that part of Merritt Street which lies between a point six feet east of the center line of Forest Street and the west line of the street or road known as the "Gravel Road” by grading the same and the construction thereon of a macadam roadway, twelve feet in width. All of said work shall be done in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Common Council on the 22nd day of July, 1901, and the specifications therefor on file in my office. Bidders shall file with their bids, the receipt of the City Treasurer fbr the sum of SSOO, deposited as a guarantee that such bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract, in accordance with his bid. Notice is hereby given that I will receive sealed bids for a new School House to be erected on the south line of Section 1, Township 80, Range 6 west, Barkley Township, Jasper county, Indiana, up to 10 o’clock a. m. of TUESDAY, AUGUST 18,1901, Sealed bids to be mailed or handed to me on or before said designated date. Said bids to be opened at my office at 10 a. m. Tuesday, Aug. 18,1901. Plans and specification for said building are now on file al my office and at the office of the County Superintendent of Schools, Rena-, selaer, Indiana.
