Miss Dorotha Hippensteel has gone to Chicago for a weeks visit, after which she will acoompany her aunt to a town in lowa to learn the millinery trade. The i6e croam social given by the Ladies Aid, Saturday night was a success financially and socially, the proceeds amounted to $19.10. Mrs. Caroline Morton of St. Louis is visiting her sister Mrs. Joe Hixon. Quite a number of the young people of this vicinity attended the temperance picnic at Kersey Sunday afternoon. Guy Barnard of Fowler made a business trip to Kniman Monday. Elza Grow of Rensselaer Sundayed with friends here. The carpenters are hauling the rock for the foundation of the new church. Mrs, George Meyers went to Rose Lawn Monday. There will be a Sunday School picnic held here Wednesday, Aug. 14. All the surrounding Sunday Sohools are invited to oome and bring well filled baskets.
