MT. AYR AND WEST JASPER.

Threshing is the paramount question. Oats are yeilding from 20 to '"4O bushels per acre in this vicinity. Jas Yeoman shipped a carload of hogs from Mt. Ayr Tuesday. Our Deering agent is putting a number of corn harvesters in West Jasper according to reports. The hustling liveryman Mr. Hemp. 1 ” is in town nearly every day, also Mr Duvall is a frequent visitors. Raunrad election went off nicely and came 4 by a good majority despite the effort to defeat it. R&ndolf Wright and wife stopped and took refreshments Sunday as they were passing through town. Ohas. Hanley of West Jasper has sold his'farm consideration not known to writer. The Mt. Ayr band discourses fine music every Saturday night. A number of our oitizens attended the show at Rensselaer Monday, generally well pleased. Anson Cbupp of the Chicago Bargain Store visited in this vicinity last week.
