Judy Projects an Automobile Factory.

John F. Judy, who last week revived the old Lafayette underwear factory by re-organizing the company and becoming president of the concern, may in the near future become one of the leading factors in the up-building of Lafayette as a manufacturing city, says the Lafayette Courier, Charles Pagette and Gilbert Christian, proprietors of an automobile repair shop on Ferry street between Fourth and Fifth streets, are now engaged in making a model for Mr. Judy for an automobile pump, which promises to revolutionize the present manner of operating the machine. If the new invention comes up to the expectation of its inventor it will not be necessary to stop the automobile to pump it up. The pew device will work while the machine is in motion. It is Mr. Judy’s intention when the pump is perfected to start a factory in this oity to manufacture the appliance. It is said that it can be made at a small cost and would find a ready market. It is also rumored that Mr. Judy had designs for an automobile which could be sold at a cost much below the present market price. If this should pan out all right Lafayette will have one of the best automobile factories in the state.
