An Ankle-bone Broken.

An exciting and rather serious runaway occured Friday eveningjin which Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Wright were the victims. They were out driving and while coming east on the Pleasant Ridge gravel 'road, their team became fractious, while near J. H. Perkin’s place, on the east side of the corporation, The horses kicked and plunged and finally got to running at full speed. When near the south end of Van Rensselaer street Mrs. Wright jumped out, and sustained a severe injury to her ankle. The team kept on with Mr. Wright holding to the lines, but he never got them stopped until they had run clear through town and quite a long distanoe out on the poor farm road. He never lost his grip, however, and drove back in triumph, with no damage to the buggy further than a few spokes were kicked out, Mrs. Wright’s injury is quite painful and serious and will lay her up for a long time, a small bone in the right ankle being broken.
