Regular monthly temperance meeting at the M. E. church next Sunday evening. Everybody invited. Miss Katie Nelson, of Brookston, was the guest of her sister Mrs. Cottingham, over Saturday night, The proceeds from the Christian box SHpper last Saturday evening were $lO. Mae Fox was voted the most popular young lady present and received a handsome cake as a prize. Miss Verne Goldsberry left Sunday for Chicago where she expects to remain for some time. A fine boy was born to Sir. and Mrs. John Mundon, at Momence, 111.. June 26tb, A number of young couples tripped the light fantastio at the last Saturday night. Refreshments were served. Dr. Schmadel, of Rensselaer, was in town Sunday evening. a John Gwin of Rensselaer, visited his daughter Mrs. Mundon, a few days this week. Felix Erwin and Alice Proudly spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R, O. Graves, at Morocco. Mrs. Mundon celebrated her birthday, July 9th, by entertaining her Sunday School class in the evening with games, musio etc. Light refreshments were served. Miss Frances Brady is visiting friends and relatives in Chicago. Dr. Proudly left Tuesday morning for a weeks recreation at Toleston, Lake county, also to visit old friends.
