Lane is living atCrawfordsville. The widow of Oliver P. Morton lives in Indianapolis and a pension of SSO a month from a grateful state keeps the wolf from the door. The widow of Thomas A. Hendricks who was left a fortune, lives in the old Hendricks home under the very shadow of the state house. The widow of Governor Chace is in poor oirounstances.
