Two More Big Land Sales.
Two more large sales of farms in this vicinity have just been consummated, and as it happens, both are well improved farms and each contains 240 acres. Dr. W. W. Hartseli has sold his Parr farm, now occupied by Geo. R. Keever, to W. W. Wishard, the sale of whose Newton county farm was noted a few days ago. The price paid was $45 per acre, for 240 acres; or SIO,BOO for the place. The sale wa9 negotiated by C. A. Dean. The other sale was none other than that of Joseph V. Parkison, who has just sold his fine place he has occupied so long, at Pleasant Ridge, to Mr. Gardner, of Harvey, 111., and previously owner of the east 160 acres of the Monnett farm, in the same neighborhood. The price for the 240 acres was $67.50 per acre; or $16,200 for the whole plaoe. It includes the residence a little west of Pleasant Ridge station. Possession is given next March. Uncle Joe still has 40 or 50 acres on the north side of the road. This sale was negotiated by B. F Ferguson.
