Marriage of Miss Bessie Foster.
Miss Bessie Foster, for quite a number of years a resident of Rensselaer, but who went to Elwood abont six months ago, was married ,at St. Joe, Mich., Saturday, July 6th, to Mr. Luther Ford. The bride is a daughter of J. L; Foster, a former resident of Rensselaer, now the owner of a farm and residence about 5 miles south of town. Himself and Mrs. Foster have also been at El wood for several months, visiting another daughter. It is said however, that the marriage was a surprise to them and that they were not informed of its occurence until the bridal couple telegraphed the news back from Chicago, where they went on a wedding trip. Mr. Ford, the groom, is employed as a “doubler” in a tin plate factory, at Elwood, in which establishment the bride has also been employed since going to that city.
