Death of Mrs. Thomas Willey.

Mrs. Martha J. Willey, wife of Thomas Willey, of Mt. Ayr, and daughter of Addison Parkison, of our city, died quite suddenly at her home, last Saturday evening. She had been siok for quite a number of weeks, with a complication of troubles, and had become greatly reduced in strength, but was thought to have passed the critioal stage of her sickness, and to be on the road to recovery. A sudden attack of heart failure, however, at the time mentjpned, resulted in her death. She was born in Barkley Tp., this oounty Oct. 22,1853, and died July 13, 1901, her age being 47 years, 8 months and 21 days She married Thomas E. Willey Oct. 3rd, 1871. He survives her as do also three sous, the oldest of whom is abont 20 and the youngest about 12 years. The family has lived in Arkansas for many years, and came to Mt. Ayr three or four months ago, where Mr. Willey is engaged in business. The funeral was held here, at the Church of God, at 10:30 on Monday morning, Rev. D. T. Halstead conducting the religious services. Interment was made in Weston cemetery.
