Too late for last week. John Schwinds of Fraiicesville, visited friends near Newland Saturday and Sunday, Perry O’Meara and Fred German went to Kankakee, 11l , Saturday on a business trip. John Ryan, trustee of Gillam was a Newland visitor Monday. Earl Newland returned from Laura Saturday, where he has been working in the onions for H. E. Gifford. John Kimble was in Rensselaer Friday on business. Ora Morgan and Orla Hewitt visited friends at Medaryville Sunday. Mrs. A 1 Blake visited her parents at Medaryville Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Cyril, Steel and wife of Laura Sunday. A number*of our boys attended the ball game at Medaryville Saturday between the Medaryville team and the oil men for the-purse of SBO. The game resulted in favor of the oil men. Wm. Ballanger went to Kniman Saturday to finish his work on the hurch. • - The ice-cream soda fountain now running at Goff’s restaurant
