He was drowned Jate Friday afternoon, but his body was not found until Saturday morning. He was a good and an industrious boy and his death is an especially hard blow to his mother. No one is known to have been with the boy when the accident occurred, but there are rumors current in Monticello that two or three other boys were with him, and it is thought that possibly they were instrumental in causing his death, by foolisness, and are now afraid to acknowledge it.
