Social Events of the Week.
The festivities of the week have been many among the ladies of the town, and have been greatly enjoyed by all that participated in these events, held at various hospitable homes. At 2p. m. on Wednesday, Mrs. E. P. Honan and Mrs. Hemphill entertained a large company, while at the same hour on Thursday, Mrs. J. F. Warren received a host of her friends at her home on Cullen SJ;., and Mrs Charles Robinson and Mrs. (yeo. Robinson made welcome about seventy-five, at the home of the former, on South College Ave. The rooms where these entertainments wer§ held were beautiful and fragrant with cut flowers, the refreshments dainty, and entertainment enjoyable, in all cases. The guests from out of town were: Mrs. Tounsley, Mt. Aetna lowa;Mrs. Hamer, Franklin; Mrs. Ryan, Delphi; Mrs. Powell, Washington D. C. and her daugter Hattie, now Mrs. Griffith, of Huntington, Ind.
