Engineer Hamilton at Home.

Goodland Herald. Robert Hamilton spent Sunday here with his family. He reports the affair of the Chicago & Transfer Ry. Co. in a very flourishing condition. Rensselaer, Winamac, Rochester, Warsaw, LaGrange and a number of other towns are deeply interested in the enterprise and have arranged to vote a tax in their respective township, the amounts aggregating about $200,000. There seems to be conclusive evidence that the road will be built as there is ample capital back of it and at no distant day will be a trunk line. The road is a feasible one, passes through some of the best county seal towns in Northern Indiana, a fine agricultural oountry and with this encouragement from the people there is no reason why ample oapital should not be found to build it.
