Vaccination Decision No Good Now.

A very recent decision of the supreme court to the effect that when a small pox scare is prevalent a town board may compel a school board to exclude children from attending school who are not vaccinated, has been widely published as of great present importance. In point of fact however, it is of no importance at all in the matter of preserving public health The decision was on a case begun some time ago under the old laws. The new health laws passed last winter, are believed to take away from school boards the power to enforce such rules as vaccinnation, and the decision above referred to does not touch upon the law now in force.
