A Missing Runaway Located.
In our list of runaways for the jveek of runaways, while there were two such accidents on two or three different days, there was none at all listed for Saturday. There was one on that day however, and though the news has been slow in reaching us, it happened to a prominent resident of Rensselaer, Wm. Daniels. He was out on his farm in Barkley, stringing some fence wire from a wagon. The roll of wire was in the rear end of the wagon box and caused it to tip up, and thus frightened the horses and caused them to run away. Mr. Daniels fell out, along with ’his roll of wire, and, was pretty badly scratched and bruised. The team ran the length of the field and then were brought to a stop by the lines winding up in the wheels. The most notable thing about this runaway is that it does not leave a single day of last week in which some person was not more or less injured in a runaway, in this county.
