Don’t Kill the Birds Nor Rob Their Nests.
1 Section 2108, of the revised statutes of Indiana, reads, "Destroying birds: Whoever kills or injures, or pursues with intent to do so, any turtle-dove, robin, blue bird, meadowlark, wren, swallow, martin, thrush, mavis, oriole, red bird, grosbeak, yellowhammer or flicker, oat bird, ground robin, pewee or phoeba bird, cuckoo, indigo bird, nut hatch, creeper, yellow bird or fringilla, warbler or finch, red start, dummock, nightingale, dove, crossbill or crake, great tit or blue tit, or wantonly destroys or disturbs the eggs of any such birds, shall be fined not more than ten dollars nor less than one dollar.” The prosecutor upon information will enforce this statute.
