The business sessions of the G. A. R. state encampment at Logansport began Wednesday morning. Department Commander Beem’s report shows that the order has now 16,211 members in good standing, against 16,615, last year. The average age is 63 years years. Losses by death were 419. Total losses during the year were 2,110, and gains 1,706. There are 443 posts in good standing, a loss of 12.
