Forgot to Pay His Board But May Return.

Harry Jones, who was boarding at the Makeever House and canvassing the town for the sale of burglar alarms and a few other specialties, left town last Thursday without paying his hotel bill. A telescope left in his room was opened and found to be empty. Harry was a rapid talker, somewhat of a masher, and proved to be a very thorough dead beat. Sinoe the above was put in type we learn through Jay Stockton that young Jones has written back to one of the chambermaids at tbe hotel that he will return and pay his bill. It is possible that this expressed good intention will never be fulfilled, but if it is, the salary of the ohambermaid should be inoreased.
