Death of Charles McCully.

Charles McCully, in his way one of the best known residents of Jasper county, died at his home in Remington, last Friday evening. He was notorious rather than noted, and probably had more trouble with the courts than any man that ever lived in the oounty. Among other incidents in his oareer was shooting with intent to kill his father-in-law, Mr. Pettit, in Remington, for which he sepred a long term in the penitentiary.
