Kenssel&er to Hare a Bur New Grain Elevator. , The new grain firm of Babcock & Hopkins have already justified The Republican’s prediction that they would prove a very enterprising combination. Their first move will be to build a large modern elevator, of great grain capacity and fully equipped with modern appliances. It is to be located directly west of their present elevator, on the same block. It is to be of 100,000 bushels capacity, i. ' The lumber and stone have already been bought and the architect’s plans are to be ready this week. The site is now being cleared of old buildings. The stone for the foundation is to be from the Bedford, Jud. : quarries, It will be operated by a 100 horse-power steam engine and j boiler, and be equipped with the ; most approved modern machinery. Such as an oats clipper, com shelters, cleaners etc. Its construction is to be begun ! at ouoe and rushed right along.
