Death of John Drake.
The death of John Drake, son of Mrs. Mary E. Drake just south of town, whose sickness with pneumonia has been previously mentioned,. occurred at about one o’clock this afternoon. He had been sick about a week. His age was 17 years, and death is a sad blow to his mother and his two brothers and three sisters who survive him. John Thomas Drake beloved Bon of the late J. T. Drake and Mary Drake, (nee Maloney.) was born Jan. 18th, 1884, at Palos, Cook oounty, 111. and died April 16,1901 after a sickness of but one week with pneumonia. He was a member of the Junior class of the Rensselaer High School, but had not been in school for some weeks on account of poor health, Requiem Mass will be held at St. Augustin’s Catholic church Thursday morning at 8 o’clock and from there the remains will be taken by the relatives to Chicago on the 9:45 train, where they will be laid to rest by the side of his father at Sag cemetery 18 miles southwest of the city.
