The Easter* supper given by the Christian church last Friday evening was a decided success in every way. Maud Fry was noted the most popular young lady present and received a handsome cake as a prize. The net proceeds were about $25. The best and most pleasing entertainment of the season was the Easter exercises gvven by both churches at the M. E. church last Sunday evening The room was filled to its utft * most capacity and many were compelled to stand up. The exercises were presided over by Peter H. Zea who headed the program with appropriate remarks, after which each one rendered .their parts well and most all deserve individual mention but jtime and space forbids. Ihe church decorations consisting of palms, evergreens, lillies, etc., were tastefully arranged, Much credit is especially due to several of the ladies who worked hard to make this entertainment a success, Excellent music was rendered by the choir with May Fox Sis organist. Altogether it was one long to be remembered. A number of people, from Rose Lawn and other places were present.
